i sit here
looking,observing
at all the love
love is everywhere
in everyone
and if you look closely
its in the air
my bench loves me
it has given me company
and it has given me a bed
it has helped me through
smiled with me
and hugged me when i cried
love has never been my friend
has always slipped me by
and sometimes left me in the cold
i found the bench
when love abandoned me
my love is for the taking
there is so much love to give
but i have given it to only the air
where it just floats away
who will catch it

but i do know the bench

on chily nights
with noone around
i will lie on the bench
and look at the stars
